Refrigerated Air Dryers for Air Compressors are basically little refrigerators. They chill the air stream causing the water in the air stream to fall out as condensate. Refrigerated Air Dryers generally will give you a dew point of between 39 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Dew Point is the temperature in which air cannot carry anymore water. These dryers are generally used inside or in applications that freezing conditions are not present.
